I use FOSE in place of the original FalloutLauncher.exe. Much more, but I can't remember everything. Using CFF Explorer to allow >2 GB of memory (No noticable difference). Using the "Large Address Enabler" mod (No noticable difference). Making sure all of my drivers are up-to-date. Reinstalling the game and all of my mods (No noticable difference). Using d3d9.dll (No noticable difference). Using a PurgeCellBuffer mod (No noticable difference). Removing all of my mods (No noticable difference). Running in many different compatibility modes (No noticable difference). Running as administrator (No noticable difference). Using bloom instead of HDR (No noticable difference). Setting bUseThreadedAI to 1 (No noticable difference). Setting iNumHWThreads to both 2 and 1 (No noticable difference) in FALLOUT.ini. I can run New Vegas fine without crashes, even while heavily modded. Even though I am on Windows 8.1, I never had any problems with crashing during the birth scene or instantly crashing on startup. Everything ran fine excluding the random crashes. This problem has been occurring ever since my first time playing without mods. These crashes are completely random they can occur while wandering the wastes, fast traveling, entering doors, etc. I can run FO3 fine anywhere from 5-30 minutes without crashing, and it's really starting to bug me. This has been going on for quite a while now, and I think it's time to put an end to this.
